Welcome to Gateway2The Lakes

This website is dedicated to sharing the natural beauty of the English Lake District to both fellwalkers and non-fellwakers alike.

It is presented in photographic diary form and will be updated regularly, usually after a walk is completed.

I am usually accompanied on my walks by at least one of our boxer dogs whose portraits can be found amongst the array of walk photographs or by clinking one of the gallery links opposite.

Widely regarded as ‘The Gateway To The Lakes’ Morecambe, my home town, has a unique window to one of Britain’s most beautiful areas and it’s many natural attractions, it is the reason for choosing the website name and this website represents my gateway to the Lake District and other areas of outstanding natural beauty - hopefully for others to enjoy.
