Looking across Torver Low Common towards Dow Crag, Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam from near the start of the walk

 

Same view but a little higher up on the short climb up to Beacon Fell

Between Beacon Tarn and Yew Bank my route went off path to gain a direct route through the bracken-covered easy slopes
