The access road up to Stable Harvey was almost hidden beneath
the snow, fortunately the snow
was heavily rutted with deep tractor tracks
making walking slightly easier

Onwards and upwards - the path to the
summit of Beacon Fell was a ‘make it up as you go along’ thing due to the heavy
covering of snow
