The walks starts just off the A595 at Bothel by a lane / bridleway that leads steadily upwards.

 

The path maintains its gentle ascent between arable fields to the right and boundary fences to the left - here looking up to the ridge ahead

Watch Hill and Setmurthy Common………………………..

 …………………..’a stroll on grass so simple that boots are incongruous footwear for it and bear feet appropriate’ (AW)
