Having made a decision to abort the planned walk to the summit of Ullscarth it just had to get brighter!!

But it wasn’t the visibility that was the problem (route-finding is easy – just follow the fence to the top) it was

the trudge through the soft show that was 3-4 feet deep in places making it very slow going – Ullscarth will be there another day.
