The small dales village of Malham is the starting point of today's walk.

 

Malham Cove from the walled lane leading to Pikedaw Hill.

 

Kirkby Fell and Pikedaw Hill..............

 

.........the  route to Nappa Cross goes between the two.

 

The ancient settlements and field systems below Malham Lings.

 

Nappa Cross - the restored base of a monastic wayside cross now built into the wall.

 

Watlowes, or Dry Valley, a deep limestone canyon carved out by ancient glacial

 overspill from nearby Malham Tarn contains some impressive limestone features.
