The starting point of this walk is by the derelict farmhouse at Weasdale beyond which the broad top of Hooksey is the first objective.

Looking to the head of Wasdale………...

…………….and behind to the Pennine hills.

Weasdale - up the right, across the top and down the left.

Howgill Central from Hooksey - The Calf just left of centre.

Weasdale Beck snakes its way north - ultimately to join the infant River Lune.

Green Bell from the same viewpoint.

Weasdale.

Looking across to The Calf from the approach to Leathgill Bridge.

Stockless - the head of Weasdale.

Leathgill Bridge and Randygill Top.

Leathgill Bridge is a splendid example of a saddle in a depression of a ridge that serves as a

pass between the two valleys enclosing the ridge, in this case Weasdale and Bowderdale (AW).

Green Bell from the tricky steep icy-scramble up to the summit of Randygill Top.

In the opposite direction across Bowderdale is the West Fell / Hazelgill Knott ridge.

Looking southwest from the summit of Randygill Top…………..

………………………and northeast to the next objective, Green Bell.

Green Bell and Grere Fell.

Percy stands still long enough a quick pic.

Looking down Weasdale from the head of the valley.

Percy pulls himself out of one of the deeper snow drifts!!

Weasdale again...........

Simon's Seat over Leathgill Bridge.

Kensgriff and Yarlside.

Views from the summit of…………………

………………………Green Bell.

The route off Green Bell is via the easy north slope towards Weasdale Nurseries (the dark patch of trees in the middle distance).
