Route Map

Stickle Ghyll - Tarn Crag ahead.

Crossing the footbridge seen in the previous piccture - looking

back down the ghyll and across to Lingmoor Fell and Side Pike.

Stickle Ghyll waterfall - the top of Harrison Stickle now visible.

Height is quickly gained on the steep ascent and the views behind to Wetherlam and the Coniston fells are impressive.

Pavey Ark across Stickle Tarn.

Pavey Ark - Jake's Rake seen slanting up right to left just left of centre.

Not my route today choosing instead the easier and less technical North Rake that ascends behind the massive frontage seen here.

Stickle Tarn and Harrison Stickle.

Fording Bright Beck - Sergeant Man ahead.

Looking down on Great Langdale from Pavey Ark.
